In our school, several competitions were held, and I used to take part in dance competitions. However, we were not given any participation trophy, which helped me work hard and take criticisms easily, which helped me later in life. There were three prizes for the first three, and others were praised for participation but did not receive any medal. Merit-based rewards in our school encouraged me to work harder. When I had taken part in a dance competition for the first time and did not get any awards, my dance teacher told me that I was good, but I needed to practice more for the trophy.
